What’s New: In April 1999, I took a job in the office of a large construction firm. I love the work and the people I work with! Bob works for a construction company that does store remodels, mostly in CA. We are still very involved with our church’s Small Group Ministry and Music Ministry. Josh joined the Navy in August 1999 and after a month’s leave at home (in March 2000) he’ll be heading to Italy. We are very proud of him (and us for having lived through his teen years!). Since our other two sons will be heading for high school and junior high this year, I anticipate a little more freedom. We’re watching them mature into young men… what an awesome experience! The things I value most in life haven’t changed over the years… God, my husband and boys, family and friends. I cherish many of my high school memories and am DEEPLY appreciative of the many hours devoted to this web site by Mark (and I’m not sure who else!) Thank you Mark for your time and talents! It has been such a "kick" reading everyone’s updates! Love it! |

What I’ve done in the last 20 years: Survived! Be more specific? After two years at a Christian college, I received my "M.R.S. degree" and married Bob Hayworth on Sept. 23, 1978. After almost 18 years of marriage, we have moved seven times to places including Lincoln, Murphysboro, Carbondale, and Chico, CA - home for twelve years. I have worked in several offices, which enabled me to pursue my real interest, photography. You won’t see any letters after my name to show what I’ve accomplished - that’s never been a goal of mine. What I do value is God, family, and friends. I love talking to people about life’s experiences and having fun!
What I plan to do in the next 20 years: I’m anxious to experience that "empty nest" stage of life, but until then, my main goal is to raise three boys to be Godly, responsible, caring individuals. Bob and I look forward to when we can upgrade from a 15-foot sailboat to a 35-footer, which could take us anywhere we want! We’re also very involved with music - who knows, maybe a band. My photography business will grow into a full-time career, which would free up time to do more gardening, camping, and travelling.
Words of advice to Class of 1996: Sow a thought, reap an action; sow an action, reap a habit; sow a habit, reap a character; sow a character, reap a destiny.
