Memories of Mark Brown

My main memory of Mark during our high school days were of him pulling up in his corvette. How cool, having a 'vette. But my most important memory of Mark was after high school. After he had moved to Dallas, Mark was nice enough to let me stay with him when I decided I was going to move to Dallas in 1981. Mark was gracious enough to let me stay with him for as long as I needed to, until I got on my feet. He also caused me to meet my wife by sending me to the bank where she worked. Had it not been for Mark I would never have moved to Dallas and more important, never met and married Rose, my wonderful wife of 19 years. For that I will always be grateful to Mark for being a true friend.

  • What's New: Our family spends most of our free time at basketball, football, soccer, baseball, track, and softball games. Our oldest son Wade is a freshman at MHS. He played freshman football, and is now on the basketball team. He will run track in the spring.

Our daughter Noelle inherited her Dad's shooting abilities, and at 12 has already earned a reputation on the court! She has also played for two years on the McDonough CATS traveling fast-pitch softball team.

Nico is doing great in soccer and basketball, and has started the saxophone this year.

We also enjoy WIU basketball, the St. Louis Rams (even when they weren't winning), and Mark has become quite famous with his Kareoke performances at the Parkside Sports Bar!
