What’s New: I worked at WIU in Student Residential Programs until I was 29. With 30 approaching, I decided to quit my job and go to nursing school full-time. In December 1990, I graduated from Saint Francis with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Since then I have made the long commute to Peoria working as a nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Saint Francis. A week before my 30th birthday, I had my first child, Jordan, and 14 months later Kelsey arrived. Many people ask Scott and I why we never married since we have children together. Who knows? I sure don’t know and he probably couldn’t answer that question either. It was a 90’s decision.
This year we have made some adjustments to the old routine, with Jordan in Kindergarten and Kelsey in pre-school at St. Paul school. Both kids really love school and do well (I hope that continues). Life is busy, life is good! Maybe I’ll even break down and come to the 25th reunion.
