Memories of Ann Dittus

Besides my father, I've never known anyone with a more positive attitude about life than Ann. Her philosophy of helping others is a true inspiration to me. It's easy to see why she has so many friends.

2001 Update

Occupation: Personnel Director
Lutheran Hillside Village
Peoria Ilinois

What's New: I started off the year 2000 with a major change in my life. After 19 years at Interstate Producers Livestock Assn., I felt the need to challenge myself and accepted a new position at a retirement/nursing home/assisted living/independent living facility called Lutheran Hillside Village in Peoria. It was a a newly created position and definitely was and is a great opportunity to grow in a new area. My special friend, Jim, is still my special friend, although to me he is "honey".

1999 Update

Occupation: Human Resource Manager & Payroll Administrator, Interstate Producers

What's New: It's hard to know where to start when asked the question "what's new in your life since 1976?" Obviously, just about everything! For me physically, A LOT!! I've got new kidneys, new hips, a "jump starter" for my heart, not to mention blonde hair, thanks to my friend LoReal. Between all my body remodeling, I've squeezed in a 20-year career with Interstate Producers Livestock Association, as a Human Resource Manager and Payroll Administrator. Since high school, I've learned quite a few lessons - my favorite being: "Helping others, helps yourself." That philosophy keeps me active volunteering for such organizations as PACE (Peoria Area Community Events), ROBI (Regional Organ Bank for Illinois), and the Buffalo Prairie Gang Camp for seriously ill children. I've been blessed with GREAT friends so far throughout my life, including a lawyer, accountant, dietician, nurse, doctor, teacher, professional hockey player, bank president, professional musician, and one very special hog farmer, whom I'm very fond of. We've vacationed together everywhere from Key West, Florida to Whitefish, Montana. Along with my family and faith, they've made the good times GREAT and the bad times bearable. What more could anyone ask for?
