Memories of Rod Standley

Rod was the best hot rod sketch artist! Some of his drawings were amazing, such detail. He and I used to hang out in our younger days -- a very cool dude! I'll never forget him showing up to one of the proms in a white tux, with tails, top hat, and cane. What style!

What's New: Not much has changed in my life since our '96 get together. I've been busy fixing up my home, and coaching my boys in baseball and football. Dalona and I just celebrated 15 wonderful years of marriage and plan to take our boys to Disneyworld this summer.

    1996 Update

    Spouse: Dalona

    Children:
  • Austin
  • Chase

  • Occupation: Art Director

Hobbies: work around, and on the house

What I've done in the last 20 years: Graduated from school of Technical Careers at Southern Illinois University. Took on jobs as graphic designer, married my wife in 1984. Became a father to 3 beautiful boys. Bought a home, became an active member in my Church. Have coached boys baseball and teach 6th grade Sunday School.

What I plan to do in the next 20 years: Try to raise my children in a way that would please the Lord. Live and respect my wife. Provide for my family a roof over their head and food on the table. Give my family my time and energy. Hopefully send my children to college and finally enjoy each day God provides.

Words of advice to the Class of 1996: Do nothing out of selfish ambition, or vain conceit, but in humility, consider others better than yourself...
