Occupation of Spouse: Illinois State Police and D.J.
What's New: I was married June 10, 2000. My children all attend Macomb Schools
and this year I will have a senior and a kindergardener! My
husband and I, along with my best friend (Cindy McClintock) and her
husband (Adam) own Mac's Karaoke and DJ and we will be playing
at the class reunion. If anyone has any requests you can e-mail
us at vern@macomb.com and we will try to get a hold of the
song. Also if anyone wants to "perform" we have over 4000
songs in Karaoke and will bring them along. I'm looking forward
to seeing you there.
Children:
K.T., 16
Tanner, 13
Jessica, 3
Occupation: Food Broker
What's New: I started a new job as a Field Representative for a food brokerage. I travel west central Illinois (I followed dad's footsteps by travelling on the road). I am home evenings and have weekends off. I call on universities, hospitals, and restaurants. I represent several major lines: Tyson, Campbells, Pilsbury, Simplot, Ocean Spray, Volasic Pickles, Old El Paso, to name just a few. I don't sell, but basically go into an operation and answer product questions and concerns. So there is no commission to speak of, just a lot of public relations. As you can tell by the enthusiasm in my writing, "life is good." The other part of my good life is my kids.
K.T is fifteen and ready to get his drivers license. I will say no more about what his priorities are, but let's just say mom hasn't done so much riding around in years. He has to drive 25 hours with a licensed adult before he can get his license. So we ride in the country, around the square, and on the four-lane. I never cuss, but sometimes sit on the floorboard. He also plays basketball and loves the outdoors. He likes to hunt, fish, and be around the livestock at his dad's.
Tanner is next in line in age, he's 12 going on 35. Tanner is my organized thinker. If it needs to be done, he can figure it out. He's into school, computers, video games, politics, and… oh yeah, girls. He came home and said he and his girlfriend had broken up. I asked, "are you okay with this?" and he said, "yeah, I already have another girlfriend." I mentioned Tanner is into politics. He is on a first name basis with our state representative. He has gone to Springfield the last two years and will go again this year representing the McDonough County 4-H program. He meets with the legislature and explains the importance of the programs. He seems to really enjoy it and when we see these Reps somewhere, they make a beeline to speak to him. Watch for him in a presidential circle near you!
Then we have Jessica. She's a 3-year old blessed with an attitude. Put it this way - she knows how to work me and her brothers and uses it to her advantage. She likes to color and watch ""Land Before Time" movies and does not appreciate anyone disturbing her agenda. I try to be fair, but if I correct her, then I have to correct the boys, because they think the sun rises and sets on this little angel. Are you seeing a pattern? Then they get upset with me because she's being a brat. Who knew?
You probably get the idea of my home - I have a great job that I like and three children I adore. I hope this message finds everyone happy and healthy. Please drop us a line!
